Scrappy Saturday report

Not much further on with this from last week but I have added the side and corner triangles and joined up the diagonal rows.  So it is now in one piece. Now I have to decide how I am going to finish it.  To border or not to border is the question.  However, I’m thinking of a little flange, colour unknown but most likely red, and then the pale green for a border which I’ll scallop (a learning curve) and finish with a red binding.  Anyway, here’s an updated picture.  This little project is a 2 year old UFO so it would be really nice to get it finished with this month’s red challenge.

ScrappySaturday19thFebAnother dull and overcast rainy day today so the natural light isn’t good.  I have used both my Ottlite  standard lamp and my portable Daylight lamp to try add some natural looking light.

This coming week I hope to make a block for my Rainbow Scrappy quilt in red and to at least finish this top.

Happy stitching, Hugs

  7. What a sweet little quilt. I'm so glad that it is finally making its way of the UFO list. Best of luck with the scalloped border. It adds such a nice effect, though it does take a bit more thought.
