Dear Jane TLC Sadie Rose

Not an easy one to do. But it's done! It's looking a bit crumpled as I had to wash it to get pencil marks out before pressing. It has been pressed but still crumpled. The bottom hex looks to be in the wrong place but this is just an optical illusion because you can see the seam underneath. I may yet unpick seam at top so I can press it the other way. We'll see.
I hand pieced the hexagons together where they join each other, then hand appliquéd them to the background. Then machined the borders on. I learned to use a lighter touch when marking with a pencil...

  1. Sadie Rose looks wonderful, well done. I am just about to start appliqueing my pink not quite hexagons onto the background. Yours looks so neat, I hope mine look that good.

  2. I haven't made a kite yet. Yours is very beautiful. This weekend I made LS4.

  3. It turned out really nicely! I am still not sure I want to do the triangles and kites... will have to make up my mind soon though as I don't fancy the idea of making triangles non stop, lol.

  4. Thank you Marja, if you make one tri/kite to every 4th block you should be okay. They are no more difficult than some of the blocks. In fact I think this week's TOW would probably have been easier if I'd made it instead of the BOW, lol.
