I hand pieced the hexagons together where they join each other, then hand appliquéd them to the background. Then machined the borders on. I learned to use a lighter touch when marking with a pencil...
My patchwork and quilting efforts with some crochet, bunnies and scenery thrown in here and there for good measure
Sadie Rose looks wonderful, well done. I am just about to start appliqueing my pink not quite hexagons onto the background. Yours looks so neat, I hope mine look that good.
ReplyDeleteI haven't made a kite yet. Yours is very beautiful. This weekend I made LS4.
ReplyDeleteIt turned out really nicely! I am still not sure I want to do the triangles and kites... will have to make up my mind soon though as I don't fancy the idea of making triangles non stop, lol.

Thank you Marja, if you make one tri/kite to every 4th block you should be okay. They are no more difficult than some of the blocks. In fact I think this week's TOW would probably have been easier if I'd made it instead of the BOW, lol.
