StashMystery Fabric and first block
Well I went and joined up for the Stashbuster Mystery. I had to order in my background as I didn't have enough of one fabric. I bought a soft buttery yellow by Nancy Halverson. It finally arrived today and I was able to get started and try to catch up. I choose a very simple 9 patch for my block choice. Here are my fabric choices and my first 12" block - the focus fabrics are from my stash and this quilt will be scrappy besides the background. What a doddle making a 12" block after doing 4.5" ones for my Dear Jane:-D The background doesn't show well in the first picture but is better in the one with the block.

Welcome aboard-I'm in too, but haven't begun to sew, too many other projects, too many tops that MUST be quilted this week. I will get caught up eventually with the mystery!

Very nice colour choices. Will be fun to see how this mystery progresses with people doing different blocks as well as different colour schemes :)
