F-1 Big Top
I've been working on this block for a long while. It was the DJ BOW in the last week of October 2007. I made a mess of my first attempt of paper piecing the center so un-picked it and took a different route. Instead I hand pieced the center using Linda Franz method of hand piecing. This turned out a lot neater. Then I machined on the out triangles and hand appliquéd the diamonds on using freezer paper underneath method. This week's BOW is A6 but I did A6 instead of F1 in October so I finished off F1 for this week's BOW instead.

Elly, your block is beautifully pieced. I admire your patience in dealing with such an intricate pattern. The results are wonderful!
ReplyDeleteTake care.
Aloha!
This is amazing, Elly. I was just about to do this block myself. I have been avoiding the "hard" DJ blocks for a long time and now feel I ought to pull up my socks and give them a whirl. Will try handpiecing F-1, too.
