Dear Jane progress

Here are a couple of Dear Jane blocks I’ve completed in the last couple of weeks.

First up is F-3 Snowball.  This was a good block to show off a lovely William Morris fabric in the centre.  I machine pieced this one.

f-3

The second one is C-4 Tic Tac Toe.   I tried out a new to me technique with this one.  I freezer paper pieced the centre part.  I found a great tutorial on ‘The Twiddletail’s Store’ web page here.  I much prefer this method to foundation paper.   I then machined on the first set of triangles, I hand pieced the outer triangles and added them by machine.  3 different methods to complete this block.  I used some Thimbleberries fabric.c-4

I’ve posted these scanned blocks in a bigger size and added a white photograph border after reading some great blog tips on Pleasant Home’s  web post yesterday.    I hope you enjoy them better :-D

Have a great Sunday everyone :)

  1. The pictures of your new blocks look nice! The second one looks very tricky to do.

  3. I love your C4 block. Very precise and well constructed. That's not an easy block at all.
