This month the challenge colour is PINK! Love PINK!! But strangely I don’t have a lot of small scraps in pink. So I’m going to be using slightly bigger scraps such as Fat 8ths or even FQs… some folk would consider those scraps right? Though not me… they are big pieces, LOL..
Anyhow :) here is the box of my pink scraps.
And here are my pink Disappearing 4 Patches in progress.. I’ve completed 2 with 2 half done.
Now here is a challenge that my DD has set me. I will call it Operation Fix Teddy… OFT for short. Let me introduce you to Teddy.
Here is a full (and I use that term tongue in cheek) body of her and here is her head:
As you can see (when you’ve picked yourself off the floor from laughing) I have quite a challenge on my hands. In the plastic bag in the first picture are the pieces of pink fabric that DD wishes me to use.
Teddy joined our family when DD was almost 2. DD is now 22! But she cannot let Teddy be consigned to the refuse bin…. OH NO! Teddy has been DD’s comforter all these years. Over the years Teddy has been in hospital on many occasions for minor surgery. The most serious of which was a nose job… however, as you can see she is now needing major surgery….. and this surgeon hasn’t a clue where to start!!! LOL… However, I think a good start is to try and make a pattern from the little bit of face that’s left on the right side. Wish me luck!!! By the way, her face was originally the same pink as her legs… though it was a lot brighter.
If you’d like to see what the other Rainbow Scrappy reports then go take a look at the linky on Soscrappy’s blog.
Have a great weekend!
p.s. here is a bunny picture to close :)
Like your pink blocks. Like you, I don't have much in the way of pink scraps. Still thinking of what I may do for RQC. Hope Teddy is feeling better after surgery.
ReplyDeleteI really love your pink disappearing 4 patch squares - Im like you I don't have many pink scraps, but managed to find enough to make two pinwheel squares!
ReplyDeleteI think you will have to have surgery skills to fix that bear, I wish you good luck.
ReplyDeleteThe pink blocks are nice, and it is nice that you are taking part in the scrappy challenge again.

ReplyDeletePoor teddy! Best of luck with his minor plastic surgery. If only we could all be sent off for a bit of remodeling when our stuffing begins to shift. Great looking pink blocks. Scraps or not, using up all the bits is good.
