I have a few pictures for you today. First up is the progress on my neutral's project for April.
I finally got a chance to try out my new Lil Twister ruler. This will turn into a tablerunner with a narrow inner border and a pieced outer border. I've used neutrals from grey to cream.
Next up is a picture of my progress with the "Harrington and Hannah" BOM by Michelle of The Raspberry Rabbits I've done 2 blocks with a 3rd in progress (a lot in progress, as in only the stitchery has been traced onto the background) block 4 is out tomorrow!!!

Now I have a finish to show you :) The crochet shawl I have been making for my mum. Finally finished! Here are some pictures of my DD modelling it in my garden.
Finally, a picture of a bunny. A naughty bunny. Chichi, thinking our fruit bowl, which was the kitchen table, is a self service bowl. Yes she jumped up there from her table in the pen (quite a leap) and I found her merrily chomping away on an apple. Cheeky Chichi!!
You'll have to excuse the mess on the table, I didn't have time to tidy before grabbing my camera.
Now I suppose I should go continue on with a hand pieced Dear Jane block which I started last Sunday!!! I may get another seam done today, heee hee.
I hope you are enjoying your weekend.
hugs
Lovely work, beautiful DD and garden. Oh that naughty bunny!
ReplyDeleteYou have been busy, Elly! Very nice neutral blocks! Rabbit blocks, too! I would have liked to see your rabbit make it's way to the table. Lovely shawl!! being modeled by a lovely daughter.
ReplyDeleteHave a nice weekend. You deserve it!
Such a neat variety of projects. Lovely shawl and love the green in your garden. Those twister blocks came out great. What a pretty table runner they will make. Too funny on the bunny helping himself.
ReplyDeleteThe Lil Twister blocks look amazing! I really like the range of shades you used.
ReplyDeleteYour Twister blocks are super. Did you stitch them up as a 9-patch first? I'm curious how you achieved the 'sashing' around each Twister block. Hmmm.
ReplyDeleteBoth Kirsty and your Mum's shawl are gorgeous! Your Mum will love this shawl! The garden is so pretty, too.
Naughty bunny! Would have liked to see Chichi actually make that leap... wow!
The H&H bunny blocks are darling... I need to get cracking on mine. You really got a ton done this week!
Elly, so many lovely pictures as usual. Lil Twister blocks looking nice, I have a bunch of blocks sewn together, my next step is to actually use the Lil Twister ruler.
ReplyDeleteI bought the Li'l twister and the big twister both, and have YET to use them....oh, just like everything else I buy....for 'someday'. I guess I'd rather buy and work on sewing machines!!!
ReplyDeleteElly... LOVE the twister runner!!!!
ReplyDeleteChichi had both Gilbert and I chuckling!!! So happy its not OUR bunny! LOL
And your shawl is gorgeous and your Hannah and Harrington blocks are perfectly done and super cute!!! *grin*
Tks for sharing, my friend!

A little twister ruler might be my next purchase. They turn out the neatest projects!
ReplyDeleteLove your lil twister blocks. |Great colour combo. The shawl is lovely.
ReplyDeleteLove you neutral scraps. I may need to do a table runner, as I have a table that needs one. Your bunny is cute, at least she/he did not take a bit out of each apple (my brother in law did that one time to a whole box) Family folklore.
ReplyDeleteOh gosh what a great post. Love the little twister. I've yet to make one but I want to. Chichi completely cracks me up. I really enjoyed reading about her cheeky little self. Oh she's so darn cute. Your bunnies make me smile. Now that shawl is gorgeous, absolutely gorgeous. Anyone special would love to have that. So pretty!!! …and I adore your stitchery work with the one on the right being my favorite because I love hearts. Makes me smile. Again, great post!!!
ReplyDeleteGreat projects and blocks, I always enjoy photos of little Chichi!
ReplyDeleteNaughty bunny!! The shawl is great, your mam is going to love it! I also love the twisty pinwheels - I don't usually 'do' neutrals but these look great, I may be on the path to conversion! (Well, considering putting a toe on the path at the very least!) Hope you've finished that DJ block by now?!!
ReplyDeleteLove the twister table runner! The shawl looks great, and the blocks are so pretty!
