I hope you have all had a wonderful Easter week. Our clocks here in the UK sprung forward just after midnight on Saturday and I’m hoping the weather follows suit and Spring arrives. Meanwhile today is lovely and sunny but oh so cold for the time of year. The daffodils are blooming so they must think it’s spring, they are such a cheerful sight.
Now last year, around about this time, a small group of online quilting friends, The Buddettes as we call ourselves, agreed to do a mug rug swap for Christmas instead of other gifts. Although we had months most of us typically left it to the last minute didn’t we, lol, any how all have swapped now and received so I can now show you the results.
First up, the beautiful mug rugs that were made for me.
First one from Marianna, second one from Rosemary, third one from Frummie,
fourth and fifth (reverse side of fourth) from Cyn and the last one (but not least) from Rosa. They are all wonderful!! Thank you so much to all my Buddettes!
Now here are the ones I made for everyone:
Basket and fourpatch for Rosa, square basket for Frummie, (my own design mug rug except the idea for the embroidered flowers, those were adapted from one of Jenny’s of Elephantz patterns.
Purple for Marianna, Repo brown and red for Rosemary, Jo Morton fabrics for Elaine, (designed by the Patchsmith)
And the final one for Cyn. Cyn loves orchids, pink and green. Pattern found on www.youcanmakethis.com here which I adapted for appliqué.
I’m linking this post with Connie’s Tuesday Linky party on her blog Freemotion by the River.
Happy Quilting!
