This 'n that

I've a few photos to show. So I'll post them all here. Friday, as anyone not living on Mars would know was Valentine's day. Well I got 3 cards!! yep 3!! One from DH and 2 from a couple of girlfriends. One girlfriend sent me a lovely Valentine siggy and that was Cyn in CA. Here it is... isn't it so pretty!! At the moment I have it in a zip lock baggy so I can pin it to the wall at my sewing table. (that's why there's a shiny bit on it, it's the baggy reflecting)

Then when I was at Freswick on Friday I took some photos of the scenery outside the old school hall where we spent Friday sewing. Can you see the old tumbling down castle in the distance. Yes it was very cold on Friday.

Lastly, when I got back from a full day sewing (in which I did very little sewing :))) I made this week's DH BOW from DJRetreats list, which so happens to be my alternate block for my DH Scrab bag challenge. So I also did some speed cutting and piecing to get quite a few of the units done for the other 11 blocks.

So now I'm going to add the pictures and hope I do it in the right order so they'll appear next to their story :))

More Siggies received

I'm behind with my siggy posting, so sorry. I'm planning on putting that right over the next week or so. Here are some of them, there's a load more to upload. Thank you to all you ladies out there for your beautiful siggies. I've been getting quite a few since I signed up on Annelies' list in January. Some how I never seem to catch up despite my good intentions each week. BUT I always do respond eventually.

Siggy For Munich 850th Birthday

At last!!! I finally settled on a center for my siggy for Munich. Why was this so hard to do. I'll tell you why. I wanted it to be perfect and that was just not going to happen now was it.
Anyway, getting a grip of myself, I settled for the best of the bunch but I'm going to put the two runners up in the envelope to be sent off to Birgit of Munich who requested this siggy from me, together with one for her incase she wishes to change the center. She is going to be making a siggy quilt for the birthday celebrations of Munich's 85Oth birthday and was wanting a siggy from as many countries to put into it. The thistle flower is the flower of Scotland which is why I have
used it to decorate the center of this siggy (and most of my siggies though sometimes I use rabbits and vines). Anyway, here are the two runners up. I don't have beautiful handwriting so was a bit of a nervous wreck signing this. The white on white fabric was also the pits to write on. Anyway, it's done as best I can and now I can go on to do the other siggies waiting in the wing..:)))) Phew!!

My Siggy Designs

Here are 3 of my siggies. The rabbit ones (I have 4 pet rabbits) tend to vary a little as the vine is free hand and whatever the mood takes me. The outer fabric varies also. The thistle is the traditional flower for Scotland.
This weekend I am in the process of making 20 siggies. 12 of which will be heading out soon. I have some letters to print/type up. I have one letter for the ladies of Italy which has both English and Italian (very basic) on it but I now need to construct on for the French ladies and one for the German ladies. I'm sorry to all you ladies in other countries but I wouldn't have a clue how to write your language. Ifanyone would like to translate one of my letters so I could do this please contact me, I'd appreciate very much your help.
